That mix produces a two-track labour market. Aerospace suppliers usually work under an aerospace personnel standard flowed down by their customer. Industrial, utility and fabrication employers usually work under SNT-TC-1A with ASME and AWS codes. Technicians who understand both, and employers who keep their written practices straight between the two, have an easier time. Employers need technicians trained to their written practice and examined by a Level III. Individual technicians need training records and exam preparation that make them hireable. Self-paced online or onsite NDT training for Indianapolis crews

Radiographers must be certified by an NRC-recognised certifying entity, such as ASNT’s Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) programme. All of this is separate from your SNT-TC-1A RT method certification.
