ASME B31.1 Power Piping
ASME B31.1 is the power piping code covering design, fabrication, installation, NDT, examination, and testing of piping in electric power generating stations, industrial plants, and central and district heating plants.

How it is applied
High-energy piping under B31.1 carries specific examination attention where failures have been catastrophic: seam-welded hot reheat lines, girth welds in creep service, and attachment welds.
