SNT-TC-1A certification path in Huntsville, step by step

1. Employer written practice. Your employer’s written practice sets the training, experience, exams, vision tests and recertification rules for each method and level. It is the governing document. A Huntsville supplier’s customer may also specify requirements that the written practice must meet.
2. Formal classroom training. You complete the method- and level-specific training hours. Atlantis delivers these self-paced online or onsite and issues records per technician. Radiography licensing in Alabama. Alabama is an NRC Agreement State. Industrial radiography is regulated by the Alabama Department of Public Health, Office of Radiation Control, under its radiation control rules. Since August 2023, Alabama no longer issues its own industrial radiographer certification. Radiographers using sources or industrial X-ray must be certified through an approved independent certifying body, such as ASNT’s Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) programme, or through an approved certifying state. Alabama recognises valid cards from other states that contract with the CRCPD programme. This radiation safety certification is separate from your SNT-TC-1A RT method certification. Practise before the practical exam
