Form b developer is a water-soluble compound dissolved in water and applied by immersion or spray, drying to a thin uniform film that develops indications during dwell.

Form b is suitable for fluorescent penetrants only and is most efficient for high-volume production inspection where a quick spray-and-dry cycle is required.
