Color-Vision Test
A color-vision test verifies that an NDT candidate can distinguish and differentiate the colors used in the NDT method — particularly important for visible-dye penetrant, magnetic particle, and color-coded eddy current displays.
Definition
The Ishihara plate test is the most common color-vision screening. Some standards accept a contrast-differentiation test specific to the method being performed.
