If I certify under an Omani employer's Written Practice and then change companies, does the certification transfer?
No. An SNT-TC-1A certificate is issued by the employer against that employer's Written Practice, so it ends at the employer's gate. The new employer must qualify you under its own Written Practice, though documented training hours, experience hours and examination records carry across as supporting evidence and shorten the process. ISO 9712 and PCN certificates are issued by a certification body and move with you.
Is there an ASNT or ISO 9712 examination centre in Oman?

How many training and experience hours does Level II require?

Anyone already working under Level II supervision accrues experience hours while employed, which is why in-service candidates certify faster than cold starts.
Does Omanisation affect who can be NDT certified?
Omanisation governs the national composition of a workforce, not certification eligibility. It shapes which crew positions an operator expects to be filled by Omani nationals, so it changes who an employer sends for training rather than who is permitted to hold ASNT or ISO 9712 certification. Eligibility is set by the scheme itself: training hours, experience hours, vision testing and examination.
Which method should a technician in Oman certify in first?
Ultrasonic.
