Wire IQI

A wire IQI is a set of parallel wires of progressively decreasing diameter encased in a clear plastic envelope, used per ISO/EN standards to verify radiographic sensitivity.

Definition

The wire IQI contains 6–7 wires of standard diameters per ISO 19232-1 / EN 462. Sensitivity is expressed by identifying the thinnest wire visible.
