Power generation: outage-cycle training economics
Generation NDT concentrates into outage seasons, and training must respect that calendar: qualification examinations completed before the season, not during it. Method demand centres on UT (boiler tubing, headers, rotor forgings), MT for casing and structural work, and eddy current for condenser and balance-of-plant tubing. Fleet operators increasingly split scopes between in-house first-line teams and contractor depth — both need documented SNT-TC-1A qualification the fleet's QA can audit.
