Prequalified vs Qualified WPS — Clause 3 vs Clause 4
The single biggest cost-saver in D1.1 is the prequalified WPS (welding procedure specification). Welder Qualification — Clause 4 Part C
D1.1 welder-qualification is by performance test on a coupon.
