Zertify Alternatives: 7 NDT Inspection Software Options Compared

Reviewed by Anoop Rayavarapu, ASNT NDT Level III. Vendor facts checked September 2026.

Short answer: Zertify, from Spinnsol, is a cloud platform for testing, inspection and certification that handles NDT alongside lifting-equipment and asset certification. NDT companies look for Zertify alternatives when they want deeper NDT-specific certification and calibration tracking, dispatch controls, invoicing from the job, or a full ERP. The main alternatives are Floodlight, AgileNDT, DRIVE NDT, OMS, InspectionBank and Atlantis.

Disclosure: Atlantis NDT publishes this page and is one of the alternatives. Competitor facts link to each vendor's own page, read in September 2026.

What Zertify is, stated fairly

Spinnsol builds Zertify as a digital platform for the testing, inspection and certification sector, with offices in the United States (Arkansas), Australia, France, Qatar and India. Its NDT software is cloud SaaS that brings NDT methods and processes into one system, from project initiation to reports: real-time access to job scheduling, test specifications, report preparation and signatures for approval. Inspectors collect and enter data on a tablet or smartphone at the job site. Around the reports sit project, equipment, customer and staff management.

It covers magnetic particle, penetrant, radiographic, eddy current, ultrasonic and visual testing, and states that documentation meets the relevant codes and standards. Across the wider Zertify platform Spinnsol describes workflow-based approvals, online and offline use, and identification by barcodes, QR codes and RFID for certified assets. It offers a demo and does not publish pricing on the NDT page.

Who Zertify suits best

Zertify fits companies whose work spans NDT and certification of equipment: lifting gear, pressure equipment and other assets that need a certificate and an identifier as well as an inspection report. If a large share of your revenue is examination and certification of equipment, a TIC platform designed around certificates is a natural fit, and running NDT in the same system avoids a second tool.

The alternatives, one by one

1. Floodlight Software

North Carolina-based and built for NDT and industrial inspection: dispatch and scheduling, form builder, offline iOS and Android capture, certification tracking, equipment and calibration records, quoting, invoicing and a customer portal. Public pricing and a 14-day trial. The strongest NDT-first alternative if you want something ready-made. See Floodlight alternatives.

2. AgileNDT

The closest like-for-like if lifting equipment matters, because it has a Lifting Equipment module next to reporting, certifications, work requests, quotes, billing, inventory and technique sheets, with AI report review. Cloud single-tenant with an on-premise option and public pricing. See AgileNDT alternatives.

3. DRIVE NDT

European cloud platform centred on inspection orders, direct import of measured values, cost calculation and billing across 11 or more methods. See DRIVE NDT alternatives.

4. OMS Software

Australian LIMS, ERP and QMS for testing and inspection, built around ISO/IEC 17020 and 17025, with QR-verified reports, calibration, certifications, CAPA and a WPS registry. Like Zertify it covers more than NDT, with a laboratory flavour.

5. InspectionBank

Eclipse Scientific's platform for inspection records, scan data, indications, procedures and techniques, certifications and scheduling, with a disconnected client and a client portal. For advanced UT work.

6. Atlantis NDT ERP

An NDT-first ERP: 17 method-specific report types with review, approval and signatures, including marine reports that merge the class-society certificate, the inspector's certificate and the calibration certificate; certification records for SNT-TC-1A, CP-189, ISO 9712, PCN and CSWIP with vision tests and 90-day expiry alerts; instrument calibration certificates with due-date alerts; team assignments that block double-booking; and quotations, timesheets and invoicing in the same system. The Asset Management app also covers issue and return of instruments and consumables stock. Book a demo with your own reports.

7. Keep Zertify for certificates, add NDT depth elsewhere

If most of your revenue is equipment certification, keeping Zertify for that and adding a stronger NDT reporting and operations tool can be sensible. The cost is two systems of record, so decide which one owns the customer, the job and the invoice.

How to test any Zertify alternative in one afternoon

Demos are scripted. Your own data is not. Before you sign with anyone, run the same four tests on every shortlisted platform, including Zertify if you are comparing against it.

  1. The offline test. Install the field app on a real phone or tablet, switch on airplane mode, complete a full report with photographs and a signature, close the app, reopen it, reconnect and check that nothing was lost or duplicated.
  2. The audit-day test. Pick a report from months ago and ask the system to show, in under a minute, that the technician who signed it held a current certification in that method on that date and that the instrument was inside calibration.
  3. The awkward-report test. Hand over your most difficult client report format and ask for it to be produced from the system, not from a Word file edited afterwards.
  4. The invoice test. Take one finished job through to an invoice: hours, equipment, consumables and the purchase order number. Count every place someone had to type something twice.

Twenty minutes on each test tells you more than a feature grid with a hundred ticks.

Where Atlantis fits, honestly

Atlantis is the right answer when NDT is the core of your business and you want the report, the technician's certificates, the instrument's calibration and the invoice to come from one record. It is configured for each company, so it takes a scoping phase and a configuration project; it is not a sign-up-today tool. It does not issue lifting-equipment certificates out of the box, so if that is your main line of work, Zertify or AgileNDT may fit better. It connects to client and corporate systems through an open REST API scoped per implementation, and the separate Digital Twin Reporting Software can place results on a 3D model of the asset. Affordable, accessible, fully customizable: request a scoping call.

Planning the switch from Zertify

Separate what you certify from what you inspect. For NDT, list every report type and client format, every technician certification with its evidence, and every instrument with its calibration certificate. Export historic reports and certificates so they remain searchable. Build and approve the high-volume report types first with a Level III, load certifications and calibration records before the first job is dispatched, and run the new system alongside Zertify for one billing cycle before switching.

Zertify alternatives: frequently asked questions

What is Zertify?

Zertify is Spinnsol’s cloud software for testing, inspection and certification companies. Its NDT product covers inspection planning and job scheduling, test specifications, report preparation with approval signatures, and project, equipment, customer and staff management across MT, PT, RT, ET, UT and VT.

What are the best Zertify alternatives for NDT companies?

Floodlight (dispatch-to-invoice NDT operations platform), AgileNDT (report review, certifications and a lifting-equipment module), DRIVE NDT (order management and billing), OMS (LIMS, ERP and QMS), InspectionBank (advanced UT data) and Atlantis (a configured NDT ERP with reporting, certifications, calibration, dispatch and invoicing).

Which Zertify alternative handles lifting equipment as well as NDT?

AgileNDT has a Lifting Equipment module alongside its NDT reporting. If lifting-equipment certification is a large share of your work, compare Zertify and AgileNDT directly before looking at NDT-only tools.

Does Zertify track technician certifications and calibration?

Zertify’s NDT page describes staff and equipment management. It does not describe certification-expiry or calibration-due tracking in detail, so ask to see both working in a demo. Atlantis records technician certifications with vision tests and alerts 90 days before expiry, and instrument calibration certificates with due-date alerts.

Does Zertify publish pricing?

No pricing was published on the Zertify NDT page we reviewed; it offers a demo. Floodlight and AgileNDT publish pricing. Atlantis is quoted on request.

Can an ERP replace Zertify?

Only if it includes proper NDT reporting. Atlantis ERP includes an NDT Reports app with 17 method-specific report types and an offline field app, so the report, the certificates, the calibration records and the invoice live in one system. It does not generate lifting-equipment certificates out of the box; that would be part of the configuration scope.
