Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Services in Brazil 2026 — ASNT Level III Led

Atlantis NDT delivers professional Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) inspection services in Brazil from ASNT NDT Level II + III certified inspectors. Specialising in surface and near-surface crack detection in ferromagnetic materials. MT demand around Brazil comes mainly from pre-salt deepwater, refining & offshore. Technicians are qualified to the governing SNT-TC-1A written practice, and procedures and reports are reviewed by an ASNT NDT Level III (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT).

Magnetic Particle Testing Method Overview

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) is a core NDT method covered in detail at our MT pillar hub. Per ASME Section V, ASTM E-series, ISO 17635 + applicable method-specific standard. Atlantis NDT Level III approves every Procedure + signs off final disposition. Calibration block + reference standard traceable to NIST / NPL / PTB. Procedure pack + technique sheet + qualification block included.

Code Coverage and Personnel Certification

Delivery Model in Brazil

On-site mobilisation across North America, confirmed in your RFQ. Remote procedure authoring + ASNT NDT Level III sign-off. Hybrid model — local Level II + Atlantis Level III remote oversight — common pattern for multi-region EPC + asset-owner customers in Brazil.

Free Consultation + Tailored Quote

Atlantis NDT publishes no pricing — pricing varies by region + scope + delivery model. Request your free 30-minute consultation with Atlantis NDT founder Anoop Rayavarapu (ASNT NDT Level III in UT, RT, MT, PT and VT). Every job is quoted on request. Affordable, accessible, fully customizable. See also Magnetic Particle Testing pillar, Brazil ERP, Brazil training, Brazil consulting.

Work in Brazil is delivered under the same procedures and Level III oversight described on our national magnetic particle testing page, which covers wet fluorescent and dry powder examination on ferromagnetic welds, castings and fatigue-critical details.

Need magnetic particle testing (MT) done, or learned?

Atlantis provides magnetic particle testing (MT) as an inspection service, trains technicians in it, and lets teams practise it on the Practical NDT simulator.

Prepare a useful magnetic-particle examination scope

First confirm that the material is ferromagnetic. Provide the component geometry, accessible surfaces and likely discontinuity orientation. The inspection technique must establish suitable field direction and examination conditions for the area concerned.

Understand the technique limitations

MT addresses surface and near-surface discontinuities in suitable materials. It does not measure remaining wall thickness or provide a general volumetric assessment. Coatings, surface condition and geometry can affect the examination and the interpretation of indications.

Specify the records and review

Record the technique, examination area, applicable checks and indication locations. Agree any cleaning or demagnetisation requirements. Evaluate reportable indications using the specified acceptance criteria rather than treating every particle accumulation as a rejectable defect.
